Repair, service and assembly

Central States repair and rebuild specialists always get the bottom of unexplained failures, and unusual wear & tear issues. We won’t quit until we know.

Our technicians regularly attend classes and seminars to stay updated in the latest repair/rebuild/recondition technology. We find any issues with your broken or damaged part and repair and refurbish to precise working order. We have service available 24/7 365 days.

Getting to the bottom of a performance issue, whether the pump is submersible, centrifugal, hydraulic, or any type in between, involves a number of steps, from complete disassembly to digital photography to precise measurement taking, as well as complete documentation along the way. As an authorized distributor for Goulds, Waukesha, Wilden, Viking, and Moyno/Tarby, Central States has full access to critical manufacturing records, allowing us to gather a complete history on your pump.

Once we have your pump and your system analyzed, we can determine whether the MTBF (mean time between failures) is suitable for the application, and then make the appropriate repairs and system recommendations.

  • Digital photography is used to capture specific damage for customer review and inspection.
  • Component parts are thoroughly cleaned.
  • Precise measurements are taken on all wear components and noted on the inspection form.
  • With customer input, decisions are made to refurbish, remanufacture, replace, or upgrade component parts.
  • Impellers are dynamically balanced to factory specification on our computerized balancer.
  • All run-outs are checked to ensure the unit meets all requirements.
  • The pump is then reassembled.
  • Documentation for disassembly, parts, replacement, modifications and reassembly are compiled in a repair report.
  • Complete maintenance records are maintained for each repaired pump for future reference and tracking.
